PurpleRat is a tribe of designers and software architects specialized in developing cutting edge mobile technologies. We develop iPhone, iPad, and Android apps and we can help you materialized your mobile business idea as a finished and branded application deployed on the app store.

We are located in Yaletown, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Founders

The founders of Purplerat are Rastin Mehr from rmd Studio, Ash Sanieyan from Peerglobe Technology, and Talia Cohen from TACN Studio. In the Purplerat all designers and software architects are also entrepreneurs and in charge of business operation and project management in an environment that project leadership is only earned based on meritocracy and decisions are based on majority vote.

Philosophy

Our clients have direct and equal access to all the Purplerat members. They not only receive high quality software and user experience, but also receive practical business, product development, and marketing advice that are fresh and sometimes unconventional. We basically share what worked for us with you.

We Are Very Agile

We follow agile software development methodologies which means fine tuning project goal to a realistic scope and develop it in multiple iterations. Every iteration is accomplished by delivering a working product which can be tested by a selected number of people. The feedback we receive at the end of each stage guides us to plan the upcoming development stage and helps us focus only on what worked successfully and not waste resources on approaches that would not serve our purpose.
